Zooshi - Sushi by the Zoo

Sushi by the zoo tonight. The spider rolls were perfection. The vegetable rice bowl and vegetable eggrolls were delicious! Ending our meal with dessert was the right choice. The crème brûlée was superb! Service was fast, friendly and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! It is absolutely the best Sushi restaurant anywhere around the Asheboro area. The service is always top tier & the atmosphere is so light & friendly. The food portions are large, especially for sushi rolls! My husband frequently gets the ramen there as well which is a massive bowl full of goodies! Such a good value! I’ve always been impressed every single visit to the restaurant. Me and my husband go at least once every week or two!

Mrs.Jasmine and her staff are absolutely incredible. I’ve been waiting for a sushi spot in Asheboro for a long time and I can say this was the best sushi I’ve ever had. I had the Lion king,Spider, and Keith roll and they were all absolutely phenomenal. The passion fruit boba was amazing also. Definitely going to be a regular spot for me and a place to take my friends and family.

Fresh cut fish is so important when it comes to sushi. The only negative post we see here is the "wait time". Please don't let those hangry and impatient people discourage you. Thank you guys for bringing this experience to Asheboro. We appreciate you not serving instant, out of the box sushi. We know it takes time and we're happy to wait for the freshness! Been here multiple times and we love it!!

Love the aestetic!! The atmosphere is amazing and the service was lovely. The waitress was very pleasant and we got our food almost immediately. The food was alright over all. I got the Shrimp Tempura was very good, and my daughter got salmon. We will definitely be coming here again.

I wanted to give Zooshi an opportunity to wow me. The sushi was fresh, and it was a bigger roll. Their claim is that they are a made from scratch kitchen. Their roll is probably 40% larger than grocery store sushi. I had the Spicy Tuna Roll. It had super flavor and was very fresh. It was cut into eight rolls that I could barely get into my mouth. They were large. The miso soup could have used more miso, but it lacked that rich miso flavor and a more bronze color in presentation. The banana leaf under the sushi was a nice ornamental addition. I will eat here again with my wife next time. It is slightly $$. However, the closest made from scratch sushi is in Randleman, miles away. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed having conversation with them.

You couldn't ask for better service or food from an establishment. Going in, I had heard a large amount of information regarding the quality of food and staff however, it's something you honestly need to witness first hand. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful even though they were absolutely slammed with customers, yet their spirits were high and they took care of it everyone's equally. The food, words can't describe the flavors and textures my mouth felt from the crazy tempura roll, but I know that I immediately wanted another. I look forward to my next visit for sure
